Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has been shrieked by popular influencer and content creator, Mr Macaroni for removing a post in which he criticized the murder of a Christian student Deborah Samuel by religious zealots in Sokoto.
The skit writer, who was outspoken in his criticism of the tragedy, claimed Atiku’s choice to remove the denunciation post from his social media sites indicates that elites care more about staying in power than citizens’ well-being.
“Atiku deleting the tweet condemning the terrible death of Deborah confirms what we have been preaching this entire election season,” Mr Macaroni tweeted.
“Politicians are unconcerned about the people. When they want our votes, they only play to the crowd. People must see past these illusions…
“Every citizen has a right to life! No person or group of persons have the right to take the life of another citizen!!!
“You cannot kill another in the name of defending your religion. Do we all start killing ourselves in the name of religion?? It is inhumane and it must.”
