In response to a question about whether Buhari would address the issue of terrorism at the United Nations Assembly following the designation of six Nigerians as “sponsors of terrorism” in the United Arab Emirates, Adesina stated that the federal government’s priority would be the prosecution of suspects.

“Naming and shaming will not be the motivation,” he added. Rather, bringing criminals to justice would suffice. Nigeria has no intention of publicly identifying and humiliating anyone. Its goal is to bring them to justice.

“As you can see, the United Arab Emirates has named certain persons, and the federation’s attorney-general has reacted, stating that all of these people will have their day in court in due course.
