See Devices that Would No Longer Support WhatsApp After Nov. 1st, iPhone Included

WhatsApp will no longer support devices running Android versions prior to 4.1 in November. iOS 10 or newer, as well as KaiOS 2.5.1 or newer, are also supported.

Some older devices will no longer be supported, according to the company.

According to the company, Google released Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on October 18th, 2011, nearly ten years ago. It’s very unlikely that some people’s phones are running anything older than Android 4.0.4, which was the final update for Ice Cream Sandwich.

It stated that users can continue to use WhatsApp as long as their phone is updated to at least Android 4.1 Jelly Bean (which Google released in 2021).
