Lagos Uber Driver Murdered in Cold Blood, Suspect Arrested

Three teenagers have been detained in Lagos State for the murder of Uber driver Morenikeji Stephen Oluwaniyi. The trio was apprehended by Meiran Police Division operatives in connection with the killing of the 27-year-old. They were able to get away with a Toyota Corolla.

According to a witness who have also experience Driver brutality, He Said, “Drivers have always been vulnerable especially at night, that is why security measures should be taken and also drivers needs to be trained.

Rilwan Nasiru, 27, Sodiq Taiwo, 23, and Oladimeji, 20, conspired to hire an Uber, lure the driver to Meiran, and strangle him to death.

They then placed Oluwaniyi’s body on the Abule Egba bridge, which runs parallel to the Lagos-Abeokuta expressway.

KSF 830 GX is the registration number of the stolen vehicle. Following a tip from the victim’s fiancée, detectives went on the hunt for the perpetrators and tracked them down to their hideouts.

The matter has been sent to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation and prosecution, according to Commissioner of Police Hakeem Odumosu.

Odumosu cautioned cab drivers to constantly be security vigilant and mindful of the passengers who use their services.
