Femi Fani-Kayode, the former Minister of Aviation who once stated he’d sooner die than join the All Progressives Congress (APC), now claims that God has guided him back to the political party he previously dubbed Almajiri Peoples Congress.
“Blessed be his holy name, and to God be the glory.”
“A lot has changed in the last six years, and it is critical that we make the right decisions at the right time, especially if we feel led by God to make those decisions,” Fani-Kayode said moments after President Buhari unveiled him as an APC signing at the Presidential Villa on Thursday, September 16, 2021.
The APC was once condemned by Fani-Kayode as a “filthy, rat-infested sinking ship” and a “bloodthirsty, blood-lusting, accursed political association of Boko Haramists and Fulani herders, genocidal maniacs, ethnic cleansers, and mass murders.”
He further stated, “The PDP is my party, and I would never leave it.” I will never join the APC until the Kingdom arrives, when Jesus returns.”
In recent months, Fani-Kayode has gone on broadcast to harshly insult Buhari and call him unprintable things.
“He locked people up, he crated people, he killed people, he carried people from the streets of London, he turned Nigeria into a pariah nation…a man who plundered the PTF (Petroleum Trust Fund),” Fani-Kayode had claimed.
Buhari is a terribly corrupt leader who has done numerous atrocities. So many people’s lives were ruined by this man.
After his defection on Thursday, Fani-Kayode stated of President Buhari and the APC, “I railed against Buhari from the outside, now I know him from the inside.” I’m not claiming he’s a monster or an angel.
“The APC,” says the narrator. I was referring to the fact that the time is no longer the same. Let us concentrate on unity, peace, and cooperation.
