I Have No Idea Why Fani-Kayode Was Allowed into APC Again – El-Rufai

Former Aviation Minister Femi Fani-Kayode has defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC, according to Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai.

Only the APC leaders who welcomed Fani-Kayode back into the party, according to El-Rufai, could explain why they did so.

He revealed his views in an interview with journalists at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja on Tuesday, when they asked him about Fani-Kayode’s defection.

“I don’t comment on the decisions and actions of the party’s leaders,” El-Rufai said. They are in charge of running the party and must make decisions about who to let into it.

“And you know how politics is a game of addition,” says the speaker. So you want to keep adding. And they’ve made their choice. But I don’t say anything about it because they’re the ones in charge of the party.

“I will explain if I bring someone to Kaduna and you want the Kaduna State Government to explain. I’m not sure how to host a party.

“I was just a deputy national secretary for a brief time, and that was my only experience with party management. So I’m not going to say anything about it.”

After criticizing the ruling party, the former Aviation Minister switched to the APC last week.

When Fani-Kayode was officially introduced to President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, his defection was made public.

Mai Mala-Buni, the APC’s interim National Chairman, introduced him to the president.
