A tricycle operator, Kola Adeyemi, was allegedly beaten to death by a driver, Kayode Oluwatomi, in Ilorin, Kwara State, after the latter destroyed the parking light of his Honda Bullet automobile.
The incident occurred at 5 p.m. on Monday in the Gerin Alimi district of the capital, according to NG Times.
Our source learned that Adeyemi, alias Daddy Samuel, rear-ended a car with the registration plate BX 954 AJL, shattering the parking light, which was worth at N2,500.
According to a witness who did not want to be identified, the trike rider urged the motorist to pay N2,000 for the damage, but the motorist refused.
The motorist hit the tricycle driver with an object believed to be a charm, causing him to slump. “At the Garin Alimi Hospital in Ilorin, the Keke Napep man was certified dead,” the witness claimed.
Ajayi Okasanmi, the state Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the event.
