Ayotunde Taiwo, 64 year old man is being detained in a police cell for allegedly defiling a two-year-old girl in the Agbado region of Ogun State.
The state police spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed the event to reporters on Tuesday, saying the man which was the culprit was apprehended after the victim’s mother filed a complaint at Agbado police station.
According to Oyeyemi, the girl’s mother said that about 11 a.m. on Tuesday, she noticed that her daughter was not walking as well as she used to.
Oyeyemi cited the woman as stating she spotted blood coming out of her private region while inspecting her body.
“When she asked her daughter what happened to her, the small girl pointed to the house across the street from their own,” he claimed.
“When the suspect arrived at the house, he was caught washing his blood-stained boxer, showing that he only had unlawful carnal knowledge of the little girl.”
As a result, CSP Kehinde Kuranga, the DPO of Agbado division, reportedly dispatched his men to the spot, where the 64-year-old suspect was captured.
While notifying that the defiled kid had been transported to the hospital for treatment, Oyeyemi also stated that the matter had been sent to the Family Support Unit at Ota Area Command for further investigation and prosecution by the Commissioner of Police in Ogun, Edward Ajogun.
