Jigawa PDP Throws Weight Behind Sule Lamido for 2023 Presidency

Members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Jigawa State’s Bamaina Local Government Area have pushed Governor Sule Lamido to run for president in 2023.

On Tuesday, PDP members held a mini-rally in Lamido’s hometown to make this point.

Dr. Ibrahim Babandi, the state PDP chairman, insisted that Lamido run for president in 2023.

Former federal politician Dr. Bashir Jumbo also urged Lamido to run for president.

He claimed that Lamido’s accomplishments as state governor, as well as his diplomatic abilities, had elevated him above all other candidates in the 2023 contest.

On the other hand, Lamido asked Nigerians to pray for divine intervention in the selection of presidential candidates for the general elections in 2023.

Sule Lamido, a former Foreign Affairs Minister, believes it would be incorrect for Nigerians to pick out one candidate as the best in 2023.

Nigerians, he said, must realize that the current circumstance necessitated divine intervention.

Regardless of tribe, religion, or political zone, he asked them to return to God for the restoration of Nigeria’s lost grandeur through his chosen candidate.
