Senior Boko Haram Commander Surrenders in Borno State

(Amir) Senior Boko Haram Commander, a terrorist, and his family have surrendered to troops from Operation Hadin Kai in Gwoza Borno State.

According to Ng Times, Amir Adamu Rugu Rugu was infamous for killing military and commuters in the Gwoza area’s Mandara hill and Sambisa woodland.

Amir Adamu, along with his three wife and children, surrendered in Gwoza town, according to a top security source.

According to a resident of Gwoza, the surrendered Boko Haram Commander is well-known in the community.

“All Praise be to Almighty Allah, the famous Boko Haram, Amir Adamu Rugu Rugu surrendered in today in Gwoza town. Karshen BH yazo insha Allah,” he said.

The Nigerian military said that the refugees surrendered as a result of persistent land and air bombardment of their North East sanctuaries and hideouts.
