Biyi Odunlade, a senior member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, evaded an assassination attempt on Saturday.
Gunmen attacked the former Commissioner for Youths, Sports and Special Needs in the Rauf Aregbesola administration’s residence at 8 p.m., vandalizing his house and automobiles while also looting his wife’s shop, taking away belongings and cash, according to NG Times Online News.
The armed guys arrived at around 8:15 p.m. and harassed Odunlade’s wife, who immediately locked herself in her room for safety, and their house help, according to Odunlade. They left with the keys to his wife’s shop, he added.
He said the men with deadly weapons arrived in two automobiles, one of which was a white jeep.
“They pried open the gate, shooting intermittently into the air and yelling, ‘Where is Biyi Odunlade?’ Odunlade explained, “I had just stepped out of my apartment.”
Remember that Adelowo Adebiyi, the Chairman of The Osun Progressives (TOP), an APC caucus in Osun, claimed that elements in the government and IleriOluwa, a group close to Governor Gboyega Oyetola, were preparing to assassinate some of its members, particularly its leadership.
