Following the shocking death of veteran actress, Rachel Oniga, actress Patience Ozokwor has taken to the social media to mourn her colleague.
Recall Rachel Oniga’s death was earlier reported to be as a result of complications from Covid19. However, according to the Public Relations Officer of the Actors’ Guild, Lagos State chapter, Olamilekan Ojora, debunked the reports that actress, Oniga, died from COVID-19 complications.
“She (Rachel Oniga) passed away on Friday night around 10 p.m. She had malaria and typhoid,” Mr Ojora, told reporters on Saturday morning.
Mr Ojora also told this newspaper that they (himself and Ms Oniga) were supposed to meet on the ” Sensations” movie set this (Saturday) morning.
Her son, Olatunji, also told Punch that his mum died of Malaria.
Actress Patience Ozokwor was caught on camera in serious tears as she mourns oniga. Rachel oniga also didn’t die from Covid19 but some heart complications.
Ms. Oniga’s most recent significant film performance was in comedian Bovi Ugboma’s comedy “My Village People,” which debuted on June 6.
In a phone interview with this publication on Saturday morning, Emeka Rising, the Lagos State Chairman of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), confirmed her death.
