Seun Kuti has challenged Wizkid’s supporters to open a school in Wizkid’s honor in the Shitta district of Lagos State.
After Wizkid’s followers continued to criticize him for his Grammy remark, Kuti said this.
Wizkid had responded to Seun Kuti ‘s remark about his fans criticizing him on social media after he earned the Grammy for Best Music Video for his collaboration with Beyoncé, “Brown Skin Girl.”
“Don’t mind them jare,” Wizkid wrote. Brother, get your sax and make some music. We all appreciated your previous album, and we’re still dancing like this.”
Some of Wizkid’s followers on Kuti’s page, however, interpreted his reaction as sarcasm, claiming that the superstar was implicitly mocking him.
Kuti, who appears to be out for Wizkid’s followers, referred to those who criticize him as “dumb fans” who “disgrace Wizkid.”
He claims that Wizkid’s fans are nothing more than “Buhari’s children” till they open a school in his honor.
He also stated that he and Wizkid get along well.
“The clever ones among Wizkid followers did not engage, you guys in my comments are the foolish ones,” Kuti remarked in a popular video. Wizkid’s reply is an attempt to get you to quit talking trash. Guys, it’s just me and Wizkid.
“If you adore Wizkid, I dare you to open a primary school in shitta in his honor.
“In the name of Seun Kuti, my fans invest 4.6 million dollars into the lives of individuals in my village every year.
“Wizkid FC” is a Nigerian football club. I defy you to open a primary school in Wizkid’s name, and then I’ll understand you guys are more than Buhari’s children.”
