Nigerians React to Suspension Placed by UAE on Employment Visa

The United Arab Emirates, UAE government has allegedly suspended Direct Employment Visa for Nigerians, as a result of the increasing rate of rate of crimes involving Nigerians in the Middle-East country.

While some Nigerians in diaspora have established as good ambassadors of the country with breath taking milestones, some are not projecting the country in the limelight with their disgraceful and criminal behaviour.

The criminal nature of Nigerians Abroad has prompted some drastic measures from the government of these countries. The latest country to apply such drastic measures is the United Arab Emirates ( UAE). The UAE recently suspended Nigerian employment visa following the high involvement in crime among Nigerians living in the Arab country. This of course would be a big blow to Nigerians nursing “japa” dreams of relocating to the United Arab Emirates on permanent basis. That is what happens when a few bad eggs affect the good eggs.

As usual, the Nigerian Twitter community has reacted to this new development.

Jide tweeted: I’m not surprised for one bit! Most Nigerians in and outside Nigeria are not cultured at all!!! Their ways of living in way too far from normal. God!!! Who did this to us?🤦
This is how most of them behaves here is Ghana. Especially those Edo and Delta.

Some others believe it is a rumour and it is not true.

Onyemere tweeted: UAE can’t ban any country without a memo stating the date at which d ban started. So why will bloggers like to tanish d image of Nigeria.

Moore Engineers tweeted: As a matter of fact, na rumour.

This new development is certainly going to hurt many Nigerians. We hope the suspension doesn’t last for long.
