2023 Elections: APC Must Emerge Victorious – Uzodinma

While many people have lost faith in All Progressive Change (APC) as a party, Imo state governor, Hope Uzodinma seems very optimistic the party would lead the country again in 2023.

Uzodinma boasted that there was no way APC won’t win the elections in 2023 considering the impressive performance of Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari and himself. This is quite ironical especially since coincidentally, he and Buhari’s administration has been marked by insecurity challenges ace wanton destruction of lives and properties. If any Nigerian should criticize a government today, his and Buhari will certainly top the list.

The Imo state governor met with the president on Tuesday in Abuja for a “consultative meeting “.

He said: “I came to see the president to consult with him, and I had a very good consultation, and the president received me well. I’m satisfied with the quality of discussion I had with him,’’ he told journalists at the end of the meeting.

“Nobody is telling me that this government is not performing; that salaries are not being paid or that the roads are not being constructed or the railway is not going or the various intervention funds to empower our youths are not being given out.

“Nobody has come in concrete terms to accuse this government of one failure or the other.”

According to Uzodinma: “I believe in pragmatism. I believe in doing things right. Can anybody come and tell me one, two, three, four reasons why this APC should not win in the next election? Nobody has said that. I’ve not read either in any newspaper.

“All I hear is that ‘because of insecurity this, insecurity that.’ But you send people out in the night to go and cause trouble and use it in the day to blame the government.”

Do you think the Imo state governor is right with his assertions? Do you think APC would rule again in 2023?
