Despite the drastic resurgence under gaffer Thomas Tuchel which has put them in pole position for a top-four spot, Chelsea are once again set to be busy in the summer transfer window for Jude Bellingham, others.
The Blues have looked solid defensively under the German boss, but are reportedly looking to upgrade their options at the back.
Tuchel has also found it difficult to extract the full potential of his attacking players, though this is partly down to the strikers themselves missing chances.
But with Timo Werner, Kai Havertz and Hakim Ziyech struggling to adapt to life in the Premier League, reinforcements could be on the horizon.
Chelsea have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of 17-year-old Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham.
Bellingham who recently earned a callup to Gareth Southgate’s England side has been greatly impressive for Dortmund this season.
In a tweet from Fabrizio Romano, he claimed that Dortmund see Bellingham as “untouchable”, meaning he is expected to stay at Signal Iduna Park.
In the other report, Chelsea are in for another couple of players in the summer.
Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane has emerged as Chelsea shopping list. Recall Varane was previously on the Manchester United radar.
As he enters the final year of his contract at the Bernabeu, Varane is expected to leave in the summer.
Despite Edouard Mendy performance so far, Chelsea appear to have one shotstopper in mind. He is Italy number one Gianluigi Donnarumma, who has become one of the best keepers in the game at AC Milan.
Despite his quality, he will be available on a free transfer this summer and the Blues have received a boost in their pursuit of him, with Calciomercato reporting Milan now expect him to depart.
