Femi Fani-Kayode, a former minister of aviation has berated the attack on Enugu police station by unknown men of the under world.
Recall that gunmen invaded the Divisional Police Headquarters, Adani in Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State.
Two of the police officers on duty were reportedly killed, while others were brutally injured, with the police station set ablazed.
Fani-Kayode on Wednesday via his Twitter handle described the attack as shameful.
Accoridng to him, it would be a tragedy for anyone to turn Enugu which is a peaceful State to a theatre of war.
His tweet read: “The attack on an Enugu police station and murder of two policemen by unknown gunmen is shameful, shocking – I condemn it.
“Enugu is a peaceful State with a God-fearing and God-sent leader and it is a tragedy that anyone would want to turn it into a theater of war or haven for crime.”
The police station attacks appear to have been a reoccurring decima at a time when the country is undergoing serious security challenge.
In the past few weeks, gunmen have attacked Police stations in the South East and some states in the South-South.
The latest incident took place on Monday, April 19 as unidentified hoodlums razed the zone 13 police headquarters in Ukpo, Anambra state.
