Man United Bomb Man City to End Unbeaten Record

Manchester City could have increased their unbeaten record to 23 game with a win against Man United but record were shattered by United masterclass in the paulseating derby game at the Etihad in the Premier League this afternoon.

Recall Pep Guardiola’s imperious Man City have now won their last 21 games in succession in all competitions and their return to the pinnacle of English football now feels inevitable, with City already 12 points clear of closest challengers Leicester City.

Gabriel Jesus scored twice in a 4-1 victory over Wolves last time out and has kept his place in the starting line-up alongside Riyad Mahrez, whose trickery may prove pivotal in breaking United down.

Recall United’s 0-0 draw against Chelsea last weekend was their fifth stalemate against a ‘Big Six’ side this season, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer favouring a counter-attacking approach. However, they did come unstuck when last facing City in a 2-0 defeat in the Carabao Cup semi-final.

Man United were at one stage vying with their rivals at the top of the table but a slump in form has seen those hopes fade rapidly and securing a top-four finish is now the clear priority for Solskjaer, with only five points currently separating them from fifth-placed Everton.

However, the result was already sealed earlier on in the game following a first-half penalty from Bruno Fernandes, he scores in barely two minutes into the game.

It’s really never happened for Man City today. De Brunye, well below his best today, tries to clip a pass in behind but sends it looping tamely out for a goal kick.

While Man United Luke Shaw complete the perfect bombing that destroyed the Ethihad in the fifty second minutes to seal the victory for the away side.

Man United put an end to an unbeaten run of Guardiola, a win for the City would taken them to 23 unbeaten record to equal Bayern Munich last season 23 matches unbeaten in all competition. Alas! United bombs the Etihad men in grand style.
