Fast rising Nigerian singer, Omah Lay, has today raised an alarm over loss of his personal items like Laptop, Microphone at the airport.
The ‘Godly’ crooner on Wednesday made this known via his personal Twitter handle.
“Godly,” released under KeyQaad/SIRE/Warner, spends a record-extending eleventh week at No. 1 on the TurnTable Top 50, after becoming the only song to hit double digits weeks at the top of the chart last week.
He disclosed that his laptop, audio interface and microphone were stolen from his box at the airport. However, Omah Lay, neither disclose the name of the airport, nor the airline.
Recall Omah Lay was all over the news in December 2020 following his arrest in Uganda alongside Tems, another fast-rising vocalist, over their involvement in an unauthorised concert at Ddungu Resort in Munyonyo, Kampala City.
He was later released after the widespread outrage from Nigerians.
The 23-year-old singer wrote: “So they stole my laptop, microphone and audio interface from my box at the airport LMAO, you are looking for a hit record or what?”
Omah Lay who hails from Port-Harcourt has recorded hits in the past years.

He is one of the most influential Nigerian Afrobeat singers. His EP released in 2020 recorded hit singles like ‘You’, ‘Bad Influence’ which garnered millions of streams.
