Swansea vs Man City
The FA Cup fixtures continue tonight as the Premier League leader are away to Swansea City. The Swans will be looking to stop the indomitable Man City run of form.
The two teams meet in the FA Cup fifth round on Wednesday night. Prior to the Wednesday fixture, the Swans have seen off Stevenage and Nottingham Forest to reach this stage, while Man City have knocked out Birmingham and Cheltenham.
The Swans have actually reached the quarter-finals twice in the past three seasons, so are no strangers to being this far in the competition, but even on the back of a 10-game unbeaten streak this will be a considerable step-up from recent challenges. They beat Norwich 2-0 last time out to move third in the league table, just a couple of points off the Canaries at the top – but with a game in hand.
Man City’s unbeaten run is even better: 14 straight wins and 21 unbeaten in a row all told, stretching back to late November.
Man City are looking set for a domestic treble this season.
Recall Man City being top of the Premier League and already into the final of the League Cup – they won the FA Cup in 2019 and reached the semis last season.
