EPL: See How Manchester United Bomb Southampton

Manchester United bomb their visitors in a one-sided affair at the Old Trafford. The win at the Old Trafford tonight means United are joint league leaders in the Premier League.

The game which started on a bad note for Southampton saw Jankewitz received red card in barely two minutes into the match.

The red card means Jankewitz is is one of only four players to be sent off in the opening two (2) minutes of a Premier League game: Tim Flowers (Blackburn v Leeds, Feb 95), Ben Thatcher (Wimbledon v West Ham, Dec 97) & Gareth McAuley (WBA v Man C, Mar 15).

The danger is this game becomes a defence versus attack training session but United are made sure that doesn’t happen by pinging the ball around quickly, taking the game to their visitors and trying to take advantage of the extra man.

After 18th-minutes into the game Luke Shaw crosses finds Wan-Bissaka who connects to put the ball at the back of the net.

The second goal is as a result of good team play. Rashford doesn’t even celebrate this one. Maguire finds Shaw with a great ball, he dribbles into the box, passes inside to Greenwood, who hits a lovely ball back to the penalty spot. Rashford sidefoots it in.

The third goal was an own goal from Bednarek. Rashford drills a cross in with real power and rather than allow a United player an easy tap in, Bednarek stretches to block and scores past his own goalie.

Manchester United were indeed on a rampage to a commanding victory. The Red Devils striker, Cavani places a header powerfully into the corner of the net after a superb cross from Shaw. It’s great movement from the striker with a top-level finish.

Adams turns away from the sleeping Manchester United defence, runs onto a through-ball from the free-kick and manages to hold up hold up hold up and slam a shot into the bottom corner. Great finish. United should be embarassed about conceding that one.

Martial makes it five for United, controlling a brilliant pass from Fernandes after making a great run in behind the defence, taking it on the chest, turning, then walloping a shot into the roof of the net at the near post.

It’s an absolutely perfect strike from McTominay, who smashes a first time shot after the ball has been cleared away, drilling it low into the corner. The technique needed to keep that shot low is amazing.

Fernandes who has had about fifteen(15) assists in all thirty-six (36) appearances for United this season scores United’s seventh goal of the game.

While Anthony Martial scores his second of the night to make it eight goals.

It’s a sorry game for the Southampton team tonight as James scores. That’s 9-0. They need to end this game before Southampton go off the pitch crying.

The Manchester United versus Southampton game is nothing but a whitewash for the visitors.
