John Osewu, the lawmaker representing Doma South at Nasarawa State House of Assembly has dumped the Peoples’ Democratic Party to the APC Platform.
Osewu is chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the state.
Osewu and his supporters joined the All Progressives Congress, APC on Thursday at Doma Local government area.
The News Agency of Nigeria, NAN reports that Governor Abdullahi Sule received all the defectors.
“I want to assure you and your supporters of equal rights and other privileges like other members of the APC,” he said.
Deputy Governor, Emmanuel Akabe, a Doma indigene, expressed confidence that the development would strengthen the party in the area.
Osewu explained that he joined APC platform due to the achievements of the Sule administration.
