Edouard Mendy will be the new Chelsea goalkeeper in a couple of days is no more news as it has been is confirmed again and again. He’s joining on a permanent deal from Rennes, Mendy’s final fee is around €24m.

He is a decent passer of the ball but that’s not his biggest strength. His shot-stopping ability remains his biggest strength.

Mendy is a great shot-stopper whose reflexes are superb and one of his strengths is saving shots from outside the box, which he can reach faster thanks to his reactions and his reach.
